Dark Auction Streaming, Gameplay Commentary & Fan Content Guidelines

Title: Dark Auction

These guidelines are established to ensure that players and content creators can safely and confidently create, stream, and post content related to Dark Auction.

They are intended to help streamers, viewers, and fans enjoy creative activities while respecting the integrity of the game experience and narrative.


1. Basic Policy

As a rule, streaming and adding commentary over gameplay footage of Dark Auction are generally permitted for non-commercial purposes.

This includes personal streams, recorded videos, live broadcasts, archived streams, and social media posts.
Creators are asked to be considerate towards viewers and to respect the integrity of the game experience.


2. Permitted Activities

 Types of streaming and posting that are allowed:

  • Streaming and video uploads on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Niconico Live, TikTok, etc.
  • Screenshots and short videos posted on social media platforms (X, Instagram, Threads, etc.)
  • Non-commercial streaming and commentary by both individuals and organizations
  • Monetization through platform-provided features such as YouTube ads
    (subject to the restrictions outlined below)


3. Final Chapter Restrictions (valid until July 2026)

The publication or streaming of gameplay footage from the final chapter of the game, creation of videos that explain the final chapter’s content, or posting of spoilers relating to it are prohibited until July 2026.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Streaming or uploading raw gameplay footage of the final chapter
  • Thumbnails or video titles that focus on spoilers
  • Text posts or videos explaining major story developments from the final chapter

These restrictions are scheduled to be lifted on August 1, 2026.


4. Consideration Towards Spoilers & Appropriate Labeling

As Dark Auction is a story-driven title, please take special care when posting spoiler-related content.

Recommended practices:

  • Clearly indicate that content “Contains Spoilers” in the title, opening, or description
  • Avoid revealing critical story elements in thumbnails or opening segments
  • Use spoiler-specific tags where available
    (e.g., #DarkAuctionSpoilers)

The purpose of these measures is to ensure that players who have not yet experienced the game are not deprived of that experience.


5. Titles, Credits & Links

The following labeling considerations are recommended (not mandatory):

  • Include “Dark Auction” in the title of gameplay videos or streams
  • Add links to the official store page or official website in the descriptio


6. Fan Works, Analysis & Commentary

The following types of content are both permitted and welcome:

  • Reviews, impressions, and articles or videos that analyze the game
  • Character analysis, commentary videos, and fan art
    (as long as they are contextually appropriate)

However, the following are prohibited and discouraged:

  • Malicious depictions that severely undermine the integrity of the work
  • The promotion of specific ideologies or political messages
  • Discriminatory or defamatory attacks against other creators

These rules exist to foster a respectful and healthy creative environment.


7. Monetization

The following are permitted:

  • Standard platform monetization features
    (e.g. advertising revenue, tips, donations unrelated to the game itself)

However, the following are not permitted:

  • Selling gameplay commentary itself as paid content
  • Restricting access to gameplay content based on external payments
    (e.g. making content that can only be viewed by paying members)

If there is any uncertainty regarding permitted monetization formats, please contact us before publishing the content.


8. Use of Creative Assets (BGM, Logos, etc.)

Official copyrighted materials (e.g. logos, BGM, etc.) may be used within streams or videos, but redistribution, re-uploading, or unauthorized modification of them is prohibited.
