The Takashi Taniguchi Section announces the release of Nanaraki: Seven Lucky Gods—the luckiest anime around—on April 27! How auspicious! The trailer is now available on YouTube. Features voice actors Takuya Eguchi and Soma Saito, and a theme song by Ryoff Karma!

A giveaway to win a poster autographed by the cast of voice actors is also underway!

IzanagiGames, Inc. (located in Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan, and led by CEO/Producer Shinsuke Umeda) has announced that Nanaraki: Seven Lucky Gods, a series of anime shorts, will make its debut on YouTube on April 27— a traditionally auspicious day in Japan. As of today, (April 20) the series trailer is available on the official Nanaraki YouTube channel. Additionally, a giveaway to win a poster signed by the cast of popular voice actors, including Takuya Eguchi and Soma Saito, is now underway on the official Nanaraki Twitter account.

■ What is Nanaraki: Seven Lucky Gods?

Nanaraki: Seven Lucky Gods is a particularly auspicious series of anime shorts. It follows the undignified, decidedly un-divine lives of a group of gods, who’ve lost the faith of the people and come crashing down to this world.

Nanaraki features the voice of Takuya Eguchi and Soma Saito (with more guest voice actors set to join later, perhaps?). The theme song, Lucky Boy, Lucky Girl (with a music video due for release in mid-May), is performed by Ryoff Karma.

The latest episode of Nanaraki will air on the official Nanaraki YouTube channel (https://bit.ly/3JT5uGC) on days ending in the lucky number “7”.

The Nanaraki trailer is out now on the official Nanaraki YouTube channel:

Planning / Production: Shinsuke Umeda

“I approached Takashi Taniguchi with the idea for Nanaraki: Seven Lucky Gods, and shortly after beginning work on the project, Takashi himself joined IzanagiGames. And so, with our fates very much intertwined, we managed to finish the project. All the performances are top-notch, so I really hope everyone tunes in to watch. New episodes are released on dates ending in “7.” The first episode airs on April 27, which just happens to be a very auspicious day, traditionally, here in Japan. As for the next episodes, I’m not so sure.”

■ Direction / Art / Screenplay: Takashi Taniguchi

“I’ve made plenty of lucky cartoons over the years. This time round, producer Shinsuke Umeda—who I worked with on creating the shoot ‘em up game, “Oshirimaeman” (Front Bum Man)—reached out to me, and so I poured all of my luck into making Nanaraki. The end result is the most auspicious anime around. There are a whole host of characters who show up throughout the series that haven’t been announced yet, so make sure to tune in!”

■ To celebrate the release of Nanaraki, the winner will receive a special autographed poster, signed by the entire cast of voice actors.

Giveaway details to be announced on the official Nanaraki Twitter account at 19:00 (JST).
